Operating throughout COVID-19
In response to the New Zealand Government's COVID-19 framework, Cambridge Road Pets has developed a safe-working plan. This plan has now been updated to deal with the changing environments associated with the traffic light system.
Our highest priority at all times is the health, safety and well-being of staff and customers. We believe that doing this will provide us with the best foundation for the continued support and service we have become so well known for.
Red, Orange & Green
Due to the nature of our business and minimal contact with any customers, we can and will remain open at any traffic light setting. We may suffer supply chain issues at colours such as Red & Orange, we will however do our best to communicate such issues with customers when appropriate.
Travel between regions & settings
At Cambridge Road Pets we believe open and honest communication is the best approach when dealing with difficult situations like COVD-19. To best serve a number of our wholesale clients and maintain a quality supply chain, some employees travel from one region to another. In doing this, they may travel from one traffic light setting into a different setting.
We have discussed this with the affected employees and we all agree that when an employee travels into or out-of a Red zone, they will need to partake in a Rapid-Antigen-Test (RAT). We will not force employees to comply. All employees however, have volunteered and agreed that it is the best course of action, both for the community and our whanau.
Cambridge Road Pets has also offered to pay for RA testing of family members of employees if they request it and where it is appropriate.
All employees also actively ensure they wear appropriate PPE (such as masks) at all times when travelling for business and maintaining accurate Tracer-app scanning.
