The Values, Ethics and the stuff that makes us... well us.

Cambridge Road was born out of the idea that a business with an outlook towards social and environmental responsibility would not hinder growth, but rather encourage it. Cambridge Road engages with New Zealand businesses to bring quality handmade products to the New Zealand market. We partner with ethical suppliers and collaborate with like minded businesses to innovate, and build a brand around old-fashioned quality with modern business ideas. We have have a zero plastic packaging policy, use recycled materials wherever possible and proudly support Chained Dog Rehoming and Rehabilitation New Zealand.

I am proud to present you with a range of products that truly represent the business I have created. Everything I have done with the business has been about proving that doing the right thing, using lessons learnt decades ago, can help attitudes forward into a more proactive and responsible future.

Making the Product...

One thing that we are very proud of is our product range. We have taken a lot of time and effort to do the best we possibly can to provide high quality products that fit within our values. All our materials are sourced locally and from ethically responsible suppliers.

For us, each product is individual, each bed will be a furry little friend's nighttime buddy, each bag of treats will be a bundle of joy, each coat will allow little doggies to go for walks, even in the bad weather. Because for us, our products will be a part of your relationship with your dog and the only product that can truly reflect the importance of that relationship is one that is handcrafted with love.

Every part of our product development stage looks at where and who we can source our materials from and how that will effect the customer experience. When we look for suppliers, we look at how they engage with other business, customers and the New Zealand community.

One supply partnership we are particularly proud of is our relationship with Allpress coffee. We purchase their recycled sacks and in turn they donate the money we give them to various different in-school programs. One of which is educating young kids about the benefits of growing your own veggies.

Our Work with Charity

At the beginning of this project, it was clear that we were always going to partner with a charity. But the question of which one always lingered. It was December 2019 that we found Chained Dog Rehabilitation and Rehoming™. After talking with their team and researching their ideas, it quickly became clear that they were doing some pretty critical work. Since then we have been working closely with Chained Dog to provide support in whichever way we can. We look forward to our continued partnership.

Chained Dog Rehabilitation & Rehoming NZ

Chained Dog Rehabilitation & Rehoming NZ (CDRRNZ) is a registered charity that is fighting to end the life-chaining of dogs in New Zealand.  They specialise in working with Life Chained Dogs, and have gained many years of experience and expertise in this area.   All of the people working with CDRRNZ are volunteers who give their time freely to help those who can’t speak for themselves.

Their Mission
To help empower dog owners by providing them with the tools necessary that will remove the need for dogs to be life-chained. To act with integrity, and work alongside any other organisations as needed, to provide a unified response to reach this result.
